Terms of Use
Here is the deal between you and us when you use the Unsorry app or this site — using the app means you accept it. Anything you buy through the App Store is also covered by Apple’s Media Services Terms, on top of these.
The right of use we give you
You get the right to use the app, for yourself, on Apple devices you own or hold. That right is not lent, not resold and not carried anywhere else. It follows Apple’s standard end-user licence agreement unless we publish another one. What you get is a right of use, not ownership of the software.
The texts
The affirmations are original texts, written for this app in English and French, and adapted into Spanish and British English. They are ours, as are the selection, the thematic indexing, the design and the software. You may share an affirmation freely — that is what the share image is for — but not extract or republish the corpus as a dataset, nor use it to train a model.
Yours at no cost
Your affirmation of the day and the three rituals, every single widget size, unlimited favourites, your board, your reminders, text, voice and video capsules (2 slots, 30-second recordings, Date and Phase triggers), all six practices (including 3 items kept in Comfort), 3 life themes out of 14, the Poudre and Bordeaux styles and three app icons are yours for free — no countdown. None of it is moving behind Plus later.
Without paying, you unlock more by using the app. Levels open 5 more life themes, the Place (level 3) and Calendar (level 5) triggers, 7 visual styles, frames and stickers. The ✦ you earn let you add capsule slots (up to 8), lengthen recordings (up to 10 minutes), get a style, frame or sticker ahead of its level, or open a capsule early. ✦ have no monetary value, cannot be bought and cannot be sold.
What Plus adds on top
Unsorry Plus unlocks straight away what levels open over time — the 8 core life themes, the Place and Calendar triggers, all 9 visual styles, every frame and sticker — plus what levels never open: the 6 Plus-only life themes (that is, all 402 affirmations), 8 capsule slots and 10-minute recordings, unlimited Comfort, one free early opening every month, the Néon icon, and your styles on your widgets too. These are additions, never take-backs: nothing that is free today moves into Plus tomorrow.
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase, plainly
- Unsorry Plus comes in three offers: a 1-year plan and a 1-month plan, both auto-renewing subscriptions, and a one-time lifetime purchase. You pick one, you can switch, and you can take none.
- Apple sets the price of each plan for each country, from its own pricing grid. The figure that counts is the one the App Store shows you on screen, in your currency, before you confirm anything.
- The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-renewing purchase: it is paid once, nothing further is ever charged for it, and it restores on your devices with the same Apple Account.
- A free trial may be offered on a subscription. If there is one, the app shows its length and the plan it applies to before anything is charged. You pay nothing during the trial; the charge only lands at the end, if you have not cancelled in the meantime. The trial is available once per Apple Account, family sharing included, and any remaining trial days stop if you buy a subscription before they run out.
- Outside the trial, payment leaves your Apple Account the moment you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription rolls over on its own, at the same rate, unless you switch renewal off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The renewal charge lands within the 24 hours before that date.
- If the rate ever changed, Apple would ask for your agreement first: without it, the subscription would simply stop at the end of the period you already paid for — no surprise charge.
Stopping, restarting, getting it back
You can stop whenever you like, and you owe nobody an explanation: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Unsorry. Apple holds that tap, not us. Stopping at least 24 hours before the renewal date prevents the next charge, and you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. One catch: deleting the app cancels nothing.
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open the app’s Settings and tap “Restore purchases”: your subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to a device, and it comes straight back.
Refunds live entirely with Apple, under its own rules — that lever is not ours. Write to us anyway if something went wrong; we will look at it with you.
Your right to withdraw
Unsorry Plus is digital content delivered straight away. By confirming your purchase you ask for immediate access and thereby waive the 14-day withdrawal period that consumer law would otherwise give you. Nothing else changes: your statutory consumer rights stay whole, and you can cancel at any time exactly as described above.
Your data, and usage stats
We keep no account. The only thing we store is the email address you may have left on this site’s waiting list, to tell you the app has come out and for nothing else; it is erased once that email has gone out. What the app keeps, it keeps on your phone, and in your own iCloud for capsules if you keep sync on. The full detail, service by service, is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
The app can send anonymous usage stats, and that sending is off until you turn it on in Settings → Privacy. Using the app is therefore not acceptance of it: it only happens if you switch it on, and you can switch it off at any time without losing a single feature. These stats contain no first name, none of your words, none of your capsules, and nothing about your cycle.
This website counts its page views without setting a cookie and without building a profile — which is why it shows you no consent banner. That detail, too, is in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to circumvent the subscription, to decompile the app except where the law expressly allows it, or to bulk-extract the corpus. The app is for personal use; it is not licensed for redistribution inside another product.
Not advice, not care
The app publishes motivational and wellbeing affirmations. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, it is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for a professional. If you are going through a hard time, talk to a health professional; in an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
When these terms move
We may develop the app and these terms, and features may change, pause or retire. Anything substantial is dated at the top of this page. If a version does not suit you, you are free to stop using the app and cancel your subscription through the App Store — no justification needed.
What we promise, and what we cannot
The app comes to you as it is. We look after it and we fix it, but we do not promise perfection or permanent availability. Should any liability fall on us, it stops at what you actually paid us over the preceding twelve months. None of these lines cuts back a liability the law refuses to let us cut back, or your statutory consumer rights.
Where Apple fits in
Apple distributes the app and collects subscription payments, but Apple did not sign these terms and owes you no support on the app itself — that part is ours. Apple and its subsidiaries may nonetheless rely on these terms.
Which law applies
These terms fall under French law. If you live somewhere else, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country still apply and take precedence.
Who publishes Unsorry
Unsorry is published by CAPTAIN DEV, a French limited liability company (SARL) with a share capital of €500, registered under SIREN 848 673 968 (EU VAT FR60 848 673 968), with its registered office at 7 rue Jacques Tati, 95220 Herblay-sur-Seine, France.
